INDIA: Manish Malhotra dazzles with winter couture 2007 at LFW 2008.

Mumbai,17 th October,2007 : With Three giant video screens, DJ Pearl providing the music, a packed hall of celebrities from Bollywood and the high society of Mumbai, the stage was set for the Grand Finale of the Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2007 with the Badshah of Bollywood couture Manish Malhotra presenting his Winter couture 2007 collection inspired by Lakme's Freespirit. The theme of the show was La Belle Epoche for a collection that had touches of the Art Nouveau era when beauty was the most important thing.

The show opened with super model Jesse Randhawa who glided gracefully down the ramp in a regal white gown with gold bands and then twirled around to reveal sexy jumpsuit hoodie with knit pockets inside. From then Manish created a sensational line of clothes in shades of ivory, beige and black with touches of red and maroon with lavish use of lush zardozi and resham embroidery on the jackets, coats, skirts, dresses, blouses and tunics.

Sporty riding gear, will power dresses, frilled tiered long gowns, brocade coats, bare back pant suits, angarkhas with transparent skirts worn over heavily embroidered velvet inners continued to dazzle the audience in quick succession. In every garment the beauty of the Parisian touches of that era were very evident to give the right image to the stunning garments.

Lakme's four beautiful faces for the Freespirit range - Indrani Dasgupta, Raima Sen, Amrit Maghera and Vipasha Agarwal looked radiant as they walked down the catwalk wearing the beautiful creations by Manish Malhotra.
