Shah Rukh Khan conferred French title
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was on Sunday conferred the prestigious 'Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters' title by the French government at a ceremony in Mumbai.

SRK, who had a good year in 2007 with runaway hits Chak De India and Om Shanti Om , was presented the award in recognition of his 15-year-career in the Hindi film industry, one of the biggest in the world.
The title was conferred to the King Khan by French Ambassador in India Jerome Bonnafont at the inaugural ceremony of a four-day French film festival held at a suburban hotel.

The 'Order of Arts et Lettres', created in 1957, is one of the four Ministerial Honours of the French republic and was established to reward artists who have gained fame for their works in the field of arts and literature and have promoted these fields.

SRK is now in the august company of other recipients, which include Indian director Adoor Gopalakrishnan, author Arundhati Roy, singer David Bowie and Bob Dylan, actors George Clooney, Leonardo Di Caprio and Clint Eastwood.

Taare Zameen Par sweeps Screen awards
Mumbai, January 11, 2008

Aamir Khan's directorial debut Taare Zameen Par bagged six key awards at the Nokia 14th Annual Star Screen Awards.

Aamir shared the best director award for the film with Shimit Amin for
Chak De! India starring Shahrukh Khan. He additionally won awards as Best Supporting Actor and for Best Dialogues at a function organsied here last night.

The three other awards won by Aamir's film 'Taare Zameen Par' were - Best Story (Amol Gupte), Best Child Actor (Darsheel Safary) and Best Lyricist (Prasoon Joshi).

Shah Rukh was adjudged the best actor for his performance in Chak De!
India. The best actress award went to Kareena Kapoor for her performance in Jab We Met.

AR Rahman's musical score for Guru earned him the award for the Best
Music Director. Shahrukh and Deepika Padukone were named as the Best Pair onscreen in Om Shanti Om.

Deepika was also adjudged the Best Newcomer (Female), while Ranbir Kapoor was adjudged the Best Newcomer (Male).


Shah Rukh performed the Dard-e-Disco number from Om Shanti Om at the award function. Others who performed at the event included Shahid Kapur, Katrina Kaif, Urmila Matondkar, Riteish Deshmukh and Dia Mirza.

Irfan Khan bagged the Best Comedian Award for Life...In a Metro while Anurag Basu won the Best Screenplay Award for the same film.

Lifetime Achievement Award went to Manoj Kumar. Chak De! girls shared the honour for Best Supporting Role (female).

Singer Soham won the Award for the Best Playback Singer (Male) for the
film Life...In a Metro while Shreya Ghoshal was adjudged Best Playback

Priyanka Chopra made to lose her weight by director Madhur Bhadarkar for "Fashion"

Kareena had walked the ramp with Shahid for Malhotra at Wills India Fashion Week last year.

The two ex-lovers came face-to-face once again on Saturday at Max Stardust Awards at the MMRDA grounds.

The gala night saw the presence of some top Bollywood stars but the ones who caught most attention were Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapur .
Kareena, who missed the Screen Awards early this month, looked dazzling in a black dress at Stardust gala. She had Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim sitting next to her.

Shahid, also dressed in black, was reportedly seated just a few seats away from his ex flame. The two even exchanged furtive glances at regular intervals.

But this was not it.

Reportedly, the two met backstage for a few minutes, shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. They seemed comfortable talking to each other, but their body language was a tad too courteous and formal.

However, the rendezvous did not last long.

The evening saw a scintillating performance from Kareena. Saif Ali Khan won many hearts with his charged-up finale act. The actor danced to a song from his upcoming film Race and other hit numbers of year 2007.

As every one knows that now Saif is deeply and madly in love with cute cat Bebo, Saif decided to get truly filmi in his declaration of love for Bebo. The story goes that one day all the cast and crew members of the film were relaxing after pack-up, when the topic of conversation turned from casual chat to Saif and Bebo's relationship. The scene took a different turn when some of the couple's friends suddenly asked Saif to prove his love for Bebo.   
Bebo's friends were casually chatting and laughing with the couple. Suddenly, one of them came up with a wacky demand. They started coaxing Saif to prove to them that he loves Bebo very much. They asked him, 'What is the craziest thing you can do for her?' while a much-amused Kareena looked on. Naturally she too was eager to know what Saif would do to prove his love for her.What followed, left everyone dumb-struck. Says our source, “Saif, in response to all the banter, impulsively picked up a knife lying nearby and slit his palm. Kareena and his friends were shocked to see his bleeding palm.Later, Saif couldn't hide the wound. Nor could he tell the world how he had injured his hand. That's when he came up with a plausible excuse. “The next day Saif came to the sets with a bandana tied on his palm. Saif Tatto’s Kareena’s Name On His Arm

Mere Haathpe Tera Naam Ho... Saif is out proclaiming his love for Kareena. The man is so madly in love that he has no qualms about this issue. We hear that Saif has got Kareena’s name tattooed in Devnagri on his arm at Hakim’s Alim in Bandra.
The man really took some pain searching and browsing through different calligraphic styles so as to finalize the shape of the tattoo.
Finally, after much resolution he walked into Hakim’s Alim in Bandra and sat for a two-three hour session to get Kareena’s name tattooed in Devnagari- an ancient Indian language.
The tattoo was reportedly done in indelible ink. And this is not the end the couple have cleverly planned their schedules and left for Greece on Friday, January 4, so as to spend time together alone there before other crew members of Tashan- their new film together, catch up with them for a shooting schedule there.

Shreyas Talpade eats bugs and beetles
Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade has a stomach for more than we can imagine.

Shreyas had a chance to try out Thai cuisine while working in Nagesh Kukunoor’s film Bombay To Bangkok . The film, a lighthearted romantic story of an Indian boy and a Thai girl, has Shreyas pairing with Thai actress Lisa Christianson.

While working with Lisa, Shreyas gave her a taste of Indianness, right from Indian dishes to Hindi language. And then it was his turn to get a taste of Thai delicacies. But a mere look at the menu of a café in Bangkok made Shreyas feel squeamish.

On the platter and ready to serve were dishes like fried insects, crickets, scorpions, beetles, and worms.

Shreyas, a non-veggie, braved eating a few of these dishes. He tried a cricket, a scorpion and a silkworm. Needless to say, as soon as he put them in mouth, he gulped them and downed them with a glass of water.

After just one trial, Shreyas vowed never to even think of eating them again. But as soon as he vowed, director Nagesh Kukunoor found a chance to rub it in. He told Shreyas that he would have to eat those Thai delicacies again for a scene in the film.

Shreyas flatly refused to do so. So, bread was molded to look like insects for the scene.

‘Bombay To Bangkok’ is produced by Subhash Ghai . The film hits the theatres on January 18.

Deepika and Ranbir Splitted recently...

12 July 2007 (Sawf News) - The recent spat between Deepika and Ranbir went all the way. The young couple did not make up after it, as we reported yesterday, but split for good.

Deepika and Ranbir became the youngest Bollywood linkup and their affair caught the fancy of many as they are very popular amongst teenagers.

Deepika however; made a big mistake last week as she mentioned in one of her interviews about her bonding with Ranbir Kapoor; the naïve new comer shared that she enjoys his company and he is special.

Deepika’s statement caused havoc in Kapoor’s household as Rishi and Neetu were not very happy about their son’s romance being public and they felt that his affair will take a toll on his popularity and his female fan following would potentially decline.

Ranbir had no choice but, to apparently call off his relationship. His act left Deepika traumatized, who is still absorbing the news.

Deepika left Ranbir's house and went back to stay at former boyfriend Nihar Pandya's house. But it is not what you think. Well not necessarily.

Deepika stayed with Nihar at his parents house when she initially moved to Bombay. She is close to Nihar's parents and treats them like her own just as they treat her as family.

Her stay at Nihar's house is likely to be short because Deepika has already bought her own house and is in the process of doing it up.

Confirmation of the split came in a rather unexpected and dramatic manner. This is what a Mumbai Mirror source says.

"The Om Shanti Om production team needed to send across some documents and dialog sheets to Deepika's place for her to read. When the production member asked for her address, Deepika said, 'Send it on my old address'. When the production member asked whether she meant her earlier address, Deepika made things very clear by saying, 'Yes, my old address. I have moved back with Nihar.'"

Deepika refuses to confirm the split.

"Nihar and I are good friends and we continue to be so. But I am single, and the only love of my life right now is Om Shanti Om and my new house. I am very happy doing it up," she says.

Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor shared really great on-screen chemistry in Saawariya , but this on-screen chemistry has also translated into an off-screen romance.

According to sources Sonam and Ranbir are seeing each other. Recently Ranbir and Sonam were spotted at a five star hotel walking in together, holding hands.
A source claims "Ranbir and Sonam were absolutely not conscious of the fact that they were holding hands. They were completely at ease. It was obvious that they are in love."

Sonam and Ranbir's families have been family friends during their childhood days. However the two became friends while assisting Sanjay Leela Bhansali in his films.

This friendship then gradually grew in to a romance when they began shooting together for ‘Saawariya’.

In fact Sonam often visits Ranbir's home and is quite comfortable with his mom Neetu Singh , who does admit that Sonam comes over to their place often saying, "Yes. Sonam comes to our place often. Ranbir and Sonam go out together often."

Earlier Ranbir was linked to Om Shanti Om female lead Deepika Padukone , but rumours claim that their relation didn't work out as Ranbir's parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu were not too happy with the relationship.

However, now Ranbir's parents seem quite satisfied with Sonam as his choice.

OSO vs Saawariya: Picture still fuzzy?

It's been a virtual slugfest at the box office this week, with the two Diwali biggies battling it out at the hustings.

Biggest? Does he mean ' or do his sources mean ' that OSO has made more than the top five grossers of Indian cinema: Sholay with Rs 157 crore, Mughal-e-Azam with Rs 128 crore, Mother India with Rs 113 crore, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun with Rs 106 crore and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge with Rs 95 crore. Surely, it takes more than a bunch of six-pack abs to destroy hard-earned laurels by films that have gone down as ‘classics' in Bollywood's chequered history.

Then again, if these signals aren't confusing enough, there's the
Hollywood Reporter and other international websites which go tom-toming the case for both OSO and Saawariya . According to them, both the films outscored the Robert Redford-Tom Cruise political thriller, Lions for Lambs , which released last week along with the two Bollywood biggies.

According to the international box office, OSO has garnered $18 million worldwide, while Saawariya and Lion for Lambs have made $13 million and $10 million respectively.

So what's the bottomline? Statistically, the clear winner is Om Shanti Om which has made Rs 41 crore with 850 prints in India after the first week. Saawariya lags behind with Rs 20 crore through 650 prints.

Mother of all item numbers in 'Om Shanti Om'

Director Farah Khan says that the item number in her forthcoming film Om Shanti Om that stars Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles, is the mother of all item numbers.

The song has 31 stars from Bollywood ranging from stalwarts like Jeetendra, Dharmendra, Rekha, Sanjay Dutt, Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Kajol, Karisma Kapoor, Salman Khan and Govinda .
Farah announced the tie up of 'LYCRA MTV Style Awards 2007' with the multi starrer 'Om Shanti Om' at a press conference in Mumbai on Monday.

She said SRK, Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal and debutante Deepika will showcase their distinctive style statements on October 25 at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai. Designer Manish Malhotra will showcase his retro theme inspired by Om Shanti Om.

"We had invited 34 stars, of which 31 made it. Aamir Khan could not come as he was busy with his film Ghajini , Dev saab also could not come. Amitabh Bachchan could not make it as he was busy with the Ash-Abhi wedding at that time. He has played a small role in the film. This song is a tribute to Bollywood. It is a film based in the 70's . I think the youth will like the film," Farah said.

Speaking to reporters Deepika said, “Since it is a 70's film I saw older films, my inspirations have been Madhubala, Hema Malini and Helen. I am not here to ape them, but since I was not born then I would like to get a feel of that era. I am very lucky to have got a break with Shah Rukh Khan as I have idolised him, and since 'Farah' is a female director and has been around for 17 years that made things very easy.”

When quizzed about the experience of working with King Khan, Deepika said, “On the first day of the shoot he came and gave me a pat on the shoulder and said we all are with you.”

When asked about the famous T20 match on Saturday she replied, “I had gone there to support the team since it was happening in Mumbai.”

“The T20 team is doing very well”, Deepika added.

Arjun, who is playing a negative role in the film says, “When I did Don I did not think of Pransaab, similarly in this negative role I did not think of any villain in the 70's. I have tried to bring in something new. It is important for any actor to do something different and in a film like ‘Om Shanti Om’ when I got an opportunity I took it.”

"For Diwali we will be in London as the 'Om Shanti Om' premiere will be held there," he said.

"Farah's energy is at par with that of Shah Rukh Khan. I am happy with my look in the film. I did not consciously copy actors but yes the body language resembles a few of them. "When you wear your costume you must feel your character," the talented Shreyas Talpade said.

“Jodha Akbar” a UTV venture, is the most awaited film of the year. which is based on a romance between the 16th century Muslim Mughal emperor Akbar, played by Hrithik Roshan, and a Hindu princess, Jodha Bai, played by Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai.

Ranbir Talks About Saawariya

"Saawariya" brought in two new faces, Ranbir Kappor and Sonam Kapoor, both these newcomers were kids of superstars. This fact added more glamour to the movie. There was lot of publicity and hype generated for this movie.
Both the actors performed beautifully but unfortunately the movie did not turn out well at the box office.
Actor Ranbir who has stolen millions of hearts talks about his experience about the movie stating “I had seen Devdas and was a fan of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, so when I returned from acting school in America, I asked him to let me assist him. His first reaction was, “you have actor written all over you. Why do you want to direct?” I insisted that I wanted to learn something before I entered films and that’s how I got close to him.
We share a good rapport and he tells me many things and shares his thoughts and ideas with me. I knew he was working on some scripts, three actually and one day he invited me to read a script on his laptop. He left me alone but kept popping into the room to see if I had finished. It was such a sensitive great script that I got up leapt at him and hugged him. I couldn’t believe that he was offering a debutant actor such a lovely character to play.”
Well, working with Sanjay Leela Bansali indeed must have been a great experience.

Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in lead roles in Aditya Chopra's Film

Following the poor showing of the films produced under his banner in 2007 producer Aditya Chopra is pulling out all stops and rolling up his sleeves to direct his own film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in lead roles.

Last year, other than Chak De! India, other films from Aditya Chopra Productions - Ta Ra Rum Pum, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle all bit the dust at the box office, seriously denting the reputation of a banner once reputed to have the Midas touch.

Aditya Chopra has in the past directed two films both runaway hits - Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Mohabbatein (2000).

Since he built his formidable reputation directing romantic films, Aditya is sticking with the genre but his new film will be laced with action and humor.

Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta, both banner favorites, are expected to be part of the project which will be shot in Greece Australia and Dubai, reports HT.

Chopra who is currently readying the final draft of the film hopes to start pre-production work in March so as to start wielding the megaphone by June - July.

Both Shah Rukh and Hrithik have plenty of free dates on their calendar as do Rani and Preity.

Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, Rakhi Sawant and Dino Morea performed at the Airtel Bindass India Concert hosted by Sajid Khan at MMRDA Grounds, Bandra - Kurla Complex, Mumbai, Sunday, January 13.

UTV's youth TV channel Bindass picked five people through a contest and gave them an opportunity to 'Dance with King Khan'.

Telecast of the event is scheduled on Republic Day, January 26.

While the grapevine went into a frenzy with talks of Karan Johar's next directorial venture, Khan / My Name Is Khan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, being based on SRK's life, Karan on his part has laughed off the speculations. But here is something interesting on the same lines.

Unbelievable as it may sound, but one production house has sought the registration of the title SRK, for its forthcoming venture! Pro-Motion Picture Pvt. Ltd. has applied to the Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association (IMPPA) for registration of SRK in both, Hindi and English.

One presumes the abbreviation SRK stands for Bollywood's global superstar, Shah Rukh Khan!

Saif consults Akshay's pretty 'Parkour' trainer?

One of the most successful male pairs of the mid and the latter 90's, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan (Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yeh Dillagi and Aarzoo), are bonding again. Please do not take it otherwise! We are only talking about them striking a great rapport on the sets of Yash Raj's upcoming action blockbuster, Tashan which reunites the much loved 'jodi' of the 'Khiladi' and the 'Chhote Nawab'. While we will talk about one of the most awaited releases of the year later, here is an interesting anecdote that we want to share with you.

As per a coffee table periodical buzz, the two stars share a common passion, and before the fertile minds get into overdrive, we simply mean fitness! Both of them are fitness freaks. Akshay, who is obviously the fitter of the two, owes his fit state to martial arts and an intense physical sport called 'Parkour', while Saif opts for weight training. So Saif decided to try his hands at the intense physical sport and was happy to take tips from Akshay's pretty 'Parkour' trainer on the sets of Tashan. But little did he realize that this intensive sport and training was not his cup of tea, and so after two gruelling sessions the 'Chhote Nawab' gave up and headed straight for his gym, saying that lifting weights was much easier.

Well, whoever said getting into shape was easy!

Karan's going the extra mile for Kajol

While Karan Johar continues to evade questions on his next directorial venture with Shah Rukh Khan, reports tend to pour in and out of sources. Buzz has it that the film, which is tentatively named My Name Is Khan, may go on floors in August this year. That would fit right with SRK's eight month holiday, which he declared in November.

Karan is now trying to work out the schedule so that he can accommodate his other favourite, Kajol, as the lead opposite King Khan. "Kajol is interested but the schedule could be a problem as she does not want to leave daughter Nysa alone for too long. Karan is hence working on it so that she can give her nod," revealed a source.

"He had also said that he is willing to take the extra measure to get his favourite actress back in his movie," the source added. The film would, apparently, deal with the 9/11 attack in the US and will showcase the point of view of a married couple staying in America

The year 2007 ended on a brilliant note with the release of "Taare Zameen Par". It started off with a highly successful film in the name of "Guru". We had the hutke movies like "Chak De India" rake in a lot of moolah as well. At the same time we had typical masala movies like "Om Shanthi Om" and the comedy flicks like "Welcome", "Heyy Baby", "Partner", "Bheja Fry" and dare I say "Cheeni Kum". We also had duds like "Nishabd" and "RGV ki Aag" from the usually reliable Ram Gopal Varma. Even Yash Raj films came up with a dud like "Jhoom barabar jhoom". There were the critically acclaimed commercial failures like "Ek chaalis ki last local", "Dharm" and "Manorama six feet down under". There were those that were neither critically acclaimed nor were they ever poised for commerical success "Eklavya" is one I can clearly remember.

Madhuri Dixit named for Padma Shri

Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit , who won many hearts with her million-dollar-smile and returned to the silver screen with Aaja Nachle after a five-year hiatus last year, has been named among the Padma Shri awardees this year.

The ravishing actress has several hits to her credit, including Tezaab , Dil , Dil To Pagal Hai and Devdaas .
Though her comeback film, after marriage to a US-based doctor and two kids, proved to be a dud at the box office, Madhuri remained unfazed. "I have never been a part of number game and we are not the racing horses who should be numbered. Either the work you do is good or bad. I have come back not because I miss the media archlights or being written about... it's secondary. I missed my craft!" she was quoted as saying.

Madhuri forayed into filmdom with ‘Abodh’ in 1986 and was catapulted to fame with the hit dance number ‘Ek Do Teen’ in ‘Tezaab’ (1988).

There was no looking back for Madhuri who went on to give a string of hits like ‘Dayavan’ and ‘Ram Lakhan’. She bagged the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance in ‘Dil’, in which she starred opposite Aamir Khan. She once again walked away with the coveted award for her role in Beta .

Madhuri's electrifying dance number ‘Choli ke peechche kya hai’ in ‘Khalnayak’ proved a huge hit and her fan following simply soared.

She repeated the success story in Bollywood blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Kaun , where she shared screen space with Salman Khan and bagged yet another Filmfare. Her powerful performance in mega hit ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ won her a fourth best actress award.

The dancing diva also charmed renowned Indian painter MF Hussain, who cast her in his film ‘Gaja Gamini’.

In 2001, Madhuri was awarded the National Citizens Award, which recognises excellence in various activities affecting national life.

The very next year she starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali 's mega-budget ‘Devdaas’ with Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai . Not only did her acting earn rave reviews, she also bagged a Filmfare Award for best supporting actress.

It was after ‘Devdaas’ that she decided to take a break from Bollywood and devote more time to her family in the US.

Looking forward to Bollywood in 2008

Hindi film industry will keep its stride to greater milestones in year 2008.

Year 2007 saw Bollywood filmmakers attempting to break the shackles of the past, defy the set stereotypes and dabble in experimentation. Some of these experiments may have failed but what is laudable is the newfound spirit to make different and better films. This spirit is likely to continue next year.

January will be the month of actor Ajay Devgan . The first big release of the year would be Rajkumar Santoshi’s Halla Bol , a film that tackles a socially relevant subject. This would be followed by another Devgan-starrer Sunday , a comedy starring a host of talented actors. Later in the year, we would also see Devgan making his directorial debut in U Me Aur Hum which has him pairing with wife Kajol.

In February will come the film we all have been waiting for long – Jodhaa Akbar , starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai . In March, Hrithik may shoot for an item number in his dad’s production venture Krazy 4. Later in the year, if his injured knee is fully healed, Hrithik will begin shooting for another home production to be directed by Anurag Basu.

The first half of the year will also see Saif Ali Khan in two films – Race with Bipasha Basu and Tashan with Kareena Kapoor. The actor will also shoot for Kunal Kohli’s next film for Yashraj banner with Rani Mukherjee.

Speaking of Yashraj, Bipasha will be seen playing the leading lady of newcomer Ranbir Kapoor in another production of the banner to be directed by Siddharth Anand.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a number of superhuman roles in flicks – Aladdin in which he plays a genie, Bhootnath in which he plays a ghost, God Tussi Great Ho in which he plays god. And there is also Ram Gopal Varma’s Sarkar Raj which brings Amitabh, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai together again after the Kajrare song. This time the three Bachchans would be seen in neatly etched roles.

The junior Bachchan will be seen in a superhero flick called Drona, which is presently in production stages. Abhi has already begun shooting Rakeysh Mehra’s Dilli 6 with Sonam Kapoor. He will also make a special appearance in director Apoorva Lakhia’s film Mission Istanbul which has Vivek Oberoi in main role.

After Abhishek and Vivek, it is natural to jump to Salman Khan who will have quite an eventful 2008 with Boney Kapoor’s thriller Wanted Dead And Alive , ‘God Tussi Great Ho’, Hello (cameo appearance), Subhash Ghai’s Main Yuvraj with Katrina Kaif and a home production Main Aur Mrs Khanna with Kareena Kapoor.

Compared to 2007, which saw her in one film ( Jab We Met ), 2008 will be a busy year for Bebo. She will be seen playing a suspicious housewife in Golmaal Returns , a fearless bimbo in ‘Tashan’ and a high society girl in Kambakht Ishq opposite Akshay.

Akshay Kumar , the darling of masses, will take a break from comedy in ‘Tashan’. He will also shoot for an action thriller called ‘Chandni Chowk To China’. Akki will return to comedy in Singh Is King and to romance in ‘Kambakht Ishq’. But the most unusual film he will be seen in 2008 will be Nagesh Kukunoor’s supernatural thriller Eight By Ten , said to be inspired from Manoj Night Shyamalan’s ‘The Sixth Sense’.

Nagesh directs another mainstream star John Abraham in a celluloid drama called Aashayein – a story of a reckless gambler who discovers that he has few days left to live. John will also shoot for Deepa Mehta’s film Luna in early 2008.

Aamir Khan, who had a terrific ending of 2007 with Taare Zameen Par , will be seen in the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Ghajini . He will also produce a campus romance called Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and an English film called Delhi Belly . The actor might also do a film with Rajkumar Hirani.

Among other stars, Priyanka Chopra will be seen in Love Story 2050 with beau Harman Baweja. Vidya Balan pairs with Shahid Kapur in Lucky Charm. Sanjay Dutt will be seen in Easy Monthly Installment and might begin the next film in the Munnbhai series. Sanju will also launch his own production house in 2008.

And last but not the least, Shah Rukh Khan , who claims to be “jobless” nowadays, is expected to sign a number of films early next year.
